I'm grateful for computers. Well, technology in general, really. As I sit here working on grades, typing up handouts and instructions, blogging, texting, emailing, facebooking, and other miscellaneous necessary and time-wasting activities, I think about how much more productive I would be without technology.
Okay, that's kind of true. But mostly, I'm thinking about what a pain it would be to try to mass produce and distribute worksheets and handouts for my classes. Seriously. What a nightmare! And in my classroom today, I used my iPod and the speaker system for a relatively simple and low-key lesson. Without those things, I would have had to...I don't know, actually prepare and teach?
Now off the computer and back to the tedious task of grading papers. Well, maybe a little more Facebook first...
